About the project

BMD is set to deliver the Palmer Wind Farm, located 70 kilometres east of Adelaide in South Australia, for Tilt Renewables.

The Palmer Wind Farm is a significant project with the potential to generate up to 288MW of renewable energy, enough to power approximately 142,000 South Australian homes.

Project scope

Design and construction of up to 40 wind turbine generator foundations and hardstands, including associated civil and electrical infrastructure.

A collector substation and a connection substation connected by a 6 kilometre internal overhead transmission line.

A 6 kilometre overhead transmission line, designed, constructed and owned by the project, linking the connection substation to the Tungkillo Switchyard, where electricity from the wind farm enters the National Electricity Market.

Operations and maintenance facilities.

One central construction compound with laydown areas.

Drainage infrastructure and internal access tracks.
