About the project

BMD, through the AeroWest Joint Venture, delivered the design and construction of the Landside Civils and Buildings package at the Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport (WSI).

Built from the ground up, WSI is Australia’s first major greenfield international airport development in more than 50 years and will become Sydney’s second major international airport.

Our works form a key part of the foundations where the spirit of Western Sydney will meet the world. The project enhances operational performance, strengthens safety and supports the continued growth of one of Australia’s most vibrant regions.

The airport is scheduled to open in the second half of 2026.
