BMD’s Urban division was engaged by Townsville City Council to restore a vital transport connectivity route for residents, businesses and emergency services in the Magnetic Island community.
Following severe rainfall events, irreparable damage was caused to the former culvert-structure bridge which impacted travel, access to essential services and local connectivity.
BMD constructed a new 38-metre, two-span bridge over Gustav Creek, helping restore access to the community, improve traffic flow and provide a safer, more reliable and resilient infrastructure.
