BMD to improve safety on a key road link in Melbourne’s south east
BMD Constructions has been awarded the Hallam Road Upgrade to make your journey safer and more reliable.
As part of the upgrade BMD will:
- add an extra lane in each direction between Ormond Road and South Gippsland Highway
- upgrade South Gippsland Highway, Hallam Road and Evans Road intersection with new traffic lights
- build new shared walking and cycling paths on both sides of Hallam Road
- install new traffic lights at SUEZ Hampton Park Resource Recovery Precinct
- create a new entrance for Lyndpark Garden Supplies with a dedicated turning lane for trucks
- improve traffic flow and safety by changing Livingstone Rise and Alymer Road access to left in, left out.
The award of the Hallam Road Upgrade project builds on BMD’s reputation of delivering key road and highway duplication projects under a design and construct model. Construction of the project is now underway.
