BMD has partnered with Naturally Cooked, appointing them as the Group’s preferred sunscreen supplier, providing teams with Australian‑made, water‑resistant SPF50+ broad‑spectrum sunscreen across projects Australia-wide.

BMD Group CEO Scott Power said the partnership reflects the practical realities of working in construction, with teams working in the Australian sun.

“Civil construction is an outdoor industry and sun exposure is part of the job. Rolling out Naturally Cooked sunscreen across more than 120 sites and our fleet is giving our people access to protection they’ll actually use while they’re working.

“It’s also a real bonus that donations from our purchases support TIACS and the important mental health conversations they lead for tradies. That combination of practical safety and meaningful support makes this partnership particularly valuable,” Mr Power said.

Co-founder Jake Brown said Naturally Cooked has a growing focus on supporting tradies and outdoor workers, with construction workers facing higher UV exposure than office-based employees.

“Around thirty percent of Australia’s workforce is made up of tradies and outdoor workers, and they’re exposed to almost ten times the UV of white‑collar workers.

“Partnering with BMD allows us to support those workers with a practical solution and continue spreading awareness about protecting yourself while working outside.”

Co-founder Lachlan Baxter said the partnership held personal meaning for the business.

“We both grew up on the bayside and have seen the BMD brand locally all our lives. BMD was at the top of our list of organisations we hoped to collaborate with,” Mr Baxter said.

“Being backed by a national construction company that genuinely cares about its people gives us the platform to help create real impact.”

As BMD’s preferred sunscreen provider, Naturally Cooked products are now available across offices, worksites and the fleet of vehicles, supporting safer outdoor work conditions for BMD teams.
