BMD score major partnership extension with the North Queensland Cowboys
Originally joining the Cowboys family in 2005, BMD has supported the club's coaching staff, grassroots initiatives, and various projects on and off the field. In 2014 – during the late Paul Green coaching era – BMD became the Coaching Team Partner, continuing support into the early years of Coach Todd Payten’s tenure.
Cowboys CEO Jeff Reibel welcomed the extended agreement, highlighting the importance of strong partnerships in driving the club forward.
“We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with BMD, who have been loyal partners of the Cowboys for over two decades,” Reibel said.
“With their deep commitment to supporting our local community, the partnership aligns seamlessly with the values we uphold as a club.”
Under the renewed agreement, Cowboys fans can enjoy an exciting new game day activation with the introduction of the BMD Try Zone in the northern bays of Queensland Country Bank stadium. This dedicated fan area will feature a fresh game day experience, exclusive giveaways and BMD’s electronic stadium signage - providing an insight into the work of construction.
BMD CEO Scott Power expressed his pride in continuing as a Major Partner, especially as the Cowboys celebrate their 30th anniversary – a milestone that coincides with BMD’s 30 years of operations in North Queensland.
“BMD’s partnership with the North Queensland Cowboys continues to be successful because we share similar values and we’re aligned in a team-orientated culture,” Power said.
“We’re driven by a purpose of powering futures and creating enduring legacies through a commitment to collaboration. We achieve this in not only the infrastructure solutions we deliver that connect and transform communities, but the way we take a partnership approach in all that we do.
“We’re passionate about creating opportunities and pathways into construction for the next generation of regional Queensland and we’re looking forward to activating the Cowboys try zone, to not only bring the fan spirit alive as the Cowboys embark on their anniversary season, but also to engage our next generation of engineering and construction professionals.”
This agreement comes at a fitting time, with BMD recently marking more than 30 years of operations in North Queensland and a brand refresh announced earlier this week, aligning seamlessly with our growth strategy focused on collaborative partnerships, diversification, and international expansion.
As a Major Partner with the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys, BMD will activate the BMD Try Zone, optimising the fan experience and providing an insight into the work of construction.
