Information on potential data breach issue
BMD use PageUp as a third-party supplier to process external job applications and are aware of a potential issue with the security of data collected via PageUp’s recruitment software.
We started using PageUp to manage our HR and recruitment services in January 2018 and are among a large number of organisations who have been using the recruitment software.
At this early stage, PageUp is yet to determine if any personal information of applicants for BMD roles has been compromised. We recommend that people who have used our online recruitment system:
- Reset your password on PageUp system, if you have applied for a job with BMD over the past six months.
- Review and identify the type of information submitted using the system.
- Check that there has been no unusual activity concerning their personal information. The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) provides guidance on how this can be done.
In most cases, the personal information that could be potentially impacted is the applicant’s full name and email address.

We will provide updates as new information becomes available. If you have any questions you can email careers@bmd.com.au
